The Rifugio Velo della Madonna is located on a rocky terrace at the foot of the lofty Cima della Madonna (2752 m) and can be reached through trails from San Martino di Castrozza and from Val Canali. With its 62 beds, our hut is the perfect base for hiking and alpine trekking in the amazing setting of Dolomites. The Hut was named after the north-western aerial Arête of the “Velo della Madonna” peak, definitely one of the great classical ascents of the Dolomites, the climbing route of the Spigolo del Velo.
